Our Story
New Found Gold is an emerging Canadian gold producer with a 100% interest in the Queensway Gold Project, as well as the recently acquired Hammerdown Gold Project, and the permitted Pine Cove Mill, all of which are located Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada – a top tier mining jurisdiction with excellent infrastructure and a skilled local workforce.
New Found Gold is focused on advancing its flagship Queensway Gold Project to production and bringing the Hammerdown Gold Project to commercial production in H2/26.
Strategic Growth
2025 was a transformational year for New Found Gold, as we evolved from an early-stage exploration Company to an emerging Canadian gold producer. The year began with the appointment of a new, highly experienced board of directors and management team led by Chairman Paul Andre Huet and Chief Executive Officer, Keith Boyle – both proven mining executives and operators who have successfully led several development projects throughout their careers.
Also in 2025, the Company strengthened its balance sheet with a C$83M in financings that had strong support from cornerstone shareholder, Eric Sprott, and other New Found Gold investors, and announced a solid initial mineral resource estimate for Queensway. In July 2025, the Company released a low-cost, high-margin PEA, highlighting robust economics with a C$743M after-tax NPV, 56.3% IRR, 1.5 Moz of production over a 15-year mine life, and strong leverage to gold prices.
The second half of the year was marked by strategic growth through the successful acquisition of Maritime Resources leading to the creation of a multi-asset, multi-stage emerging gold producer, as well as the addition of highly prospective land claims that created a district-scale land package at Queensway and increased size of New Found Gold’s flagship property by ~30%.
The acquisition of Maritime Resources transformed the Company from a single-asset exploration issuer into a multi-asset gold company with assets at differing stages of development, all within Newfoundland and Labrador. The combination of the Queensway and Hammerdown provides a balanced portfolio with optionality, offering both district-scale exploration upside and assets with defined development pathways and existing infrastructure.
The Company’s work in 2025 included over 74,000 metres of diamond drilling at Queensway with a primary focus on resource definition and pre-development work, and a secondary focus on exploration, with high-grade discoveries such as the Dropkick zone underscoring the camp-scale potential of the district.
Further Advancements in 2026 include:
- Entering into an EPCM contract with WSP Canada Inc., a world-leading professional services and engineering consulting firm, for Queensway Phase 1 project development
- Advancing EPCM work on the upgrade and expansion of the existing Pine Cove Mill to accommodate for processing of both Hammerdown and Queensway Phase 1 material
- Completing environmental baseline work at Queensway as part of an Environmental Assessment application
- Progressing project finance process to secure the initial capital required for Queensway Phase 1 development
- Continuing the ramp-up to commercial production at Hammerdown
Looking Ahead
EPCM work at Queensway is underway with the objective of achieving first gold pour from Queensway Phase I in H2/27, pending receipt of all required permits.
Hammerdown is also expected to reach commercial production in H2/26, providing free cash flow to help fund overhead and exploration costs.
Through a commitment to responsible mineral exploration and strong community partnerships, New Found Gold is shaping the future of gold discovery, development and mining in Newfoundland and Labrador. For more information on New Found Gold, please see our most recent
