Linear Project

Market Share

Tap to Zoom

  • NFGC has completed the largest ever consolidation of property within the Linear Gold belt.
  • NFGC controls the most advanced prospects along the Linear gold belt including 17 known high grade gold showings.
  • As the largest player in the Linear Gold Belt it allows for district scale exploration with expansive strike length potential.

Overview

Tap to Zoom

  • The Next Big Canadian Gold Belt in Discovery phase
  • Initially discovered and drilled by Noranda (1980’s) and later drilled by Rubicon (2003)
  • NFGC covers over 100 Km of strike length on the JBP and Appleton linears
  • By owning district plays there is discovery potential to identify several mines
  • Superb infrastructure and accessibility (Trans-Canada Hwy cross-cuts project)
  • Recently discovered 2 additional gold zones, ready to be drilled
  • NFGC controls the most advanced historic projects in the belt as well as the southern strike extension
  • Historic drilling on the property has had significant success in intersecting gold mineralization
  • Project carries low NSR after buy backs of 0 – 0.6% with a large portion of the project carrying no current royalties

Exploration history

Tap to Zoom

  • Between 1985 and 2012 there were 196 drill holes totaling over 21,000 m drilled on the northern linear project by Noranda, Rubicon and various operators
  • Between 2006 and 2011 there were 67 drill holes totaling 11,860 m drilled on the Mosquito Hill deposit by Rubicon and Golden Dory
  • In 2016 NFGC undertook a till sampling program along the JBP linear identifying several gold in till anomalies up to a maximum gold grain count of 1,744
  • In 2017 NFGC conducted a HELITEM multipulse system survey coving 821 Km2 over the linear project
  • A historic resource was established at the Knob Deposit along the Appleton linear by Noranda showing ~97,000oz Au @ 16 g/t from surface to 100m vertical depth *
  • 60 Km strike length within the southern portion of the property contains almost no exploration and wide open for discovery

JBP and Appleton

Tap to Zoom

The Linear Project was named after the two prominent faults that cross the property which are the vital fluid conduit allowing for the formation of gold deposits. These two roughly parallel faults are linear in nature and aptly named the JBP and Appleton Linears. The two linears are geologically best defined in the northern portion of the property but projected with magnetics to extend along the entire project.

JBP Linear
  • Sedimentary hosted quartz vein system over 15 Km strike length potential
  • Total of 9,880 m (54 drill holes)
  • Open along strike and down dip
Appleton Linear
  • Auriferous quartz veins hosted within shale and greywacke over a 10 Km strike length potential
  • Total of 11,610m (142 drill holes)
  • The Knob deposit contains a historical resource of 97,000 oz. Au @ 16 g/t by Noranda*
  • Open along strike and down dip

JBP

Tap to Zoom

High grade gold system along 3 Km strike length of the JBP Linear

  • Significant opportunity for expansion from the existing zones along strike and at depth
  • Very few drill holes reach below 100 m vertical depth and significant distances exist between gold zones contain no drilling
  • Most of the drilling has occurred along 3 Km segament out of a potential 15 Km in the northern part of the linear project
  • Drilling along the JBP linear will be a primary target of the 2018 phase 1 drilling program

Significant Drill Intercepts in the H-Pond Prospect from 2004-2006 (32 Holes)

  • 16.3 g/t Au over 2.4 m (HP-04-03)
  • 12.3 g/t Au over 1.1 metres (HP06-35)
  • 9.79 g/t Au gold over 1.2 metres (HP05-15)
  • 6.91 g/t Au over 1.9 metres (HP05-11)

Significant Drill Intercepts in the Pocket Pond Prospect from 2004-2008 (15 Holes)

  • 12.4 g/t Au over 3.4 metres (HP08-44
  • 6.60 g/t Au over 1.7 metres (HP04-07)
  • 11.1 g/t Au over 11.9 metres (HP08-48)

High grade gold system along 5 Km strike length of the Appleton Linear

  • Significant opportunity for expansion from the existing zones along strike and at depth
  • Very few drill holes reach below 150 m vertical depth and significant distances exist between gold zones contain no drilling
  • Drilling along the Appleton linear will be a primary target of the 2018 phase 1 drilling program

Contains numerous historical high-grade drill hole gold intercepts:

  • 106.2 g/t Au over 2.3m
  • 9.0 g/t Au over 14.3m
  • 57.5 g/t Au over 4.3m
  • 38.5 g/t Au over 6.5m
  • 32.2 g/t Au over 1.6m

2018 Till Program

Tap to Zoom

Southern Linear Extension

  • Starting in February 2018 an ambitious regional scale till sampling program has been targeting a 60 Km strike length of the southern extension of the Appleton and JBP linears along a 2 x 2 Km grid
  • A secondary detailed till survey is underway along a section of the Appleton linear containing numerous gold showings, strong magnetic signature and limited exploration along a 500 x 500 m grid
  • Till surveys are designed to identify areas of potential gold mineralization within the property for follow-up trenching and drilling
  • Thin glacial till throughout the project area results in a strong correlation between glacial till and bedrock gold anomalies

Schematic Cross section

Faulting along the Appleton Linear has created conduits for the transportation and deposition of gold rich fluids
