Sail Pond Project
Overview
Tap to Zoom
- In April 2018 NFGC signed a transformative deal with Altius Minerals to acquire the Sail Pond Project
- Unique and newly recognized high-grade silver mineralization in grab and channel samples plus copper, lead, zinc, antimony and gold
- Two mineralized zones exposed on surface; 9 Km strike length; open to the north & south; up to 200m wide
- Zones have never been drill tested or surveyed by modern geophysics
- Large land position (21,675 ha) consolidated in December 2016 by Altius minerals
- Altius 2017 program consisted of prospecting, mapping, soil sampling, trenching, structural analysis
- Excellent logistics – Road accessible and adjacent to regional services and airport; strong community support
Historical work

- Aeromagnetic data was collected by the GSC during the 1950s to 1970s
- Noranda Exploration completed soil sampling program in 1981. Resulting in anomalous areas of elevated Zn, Cu, Pb, and Ag
- Aurion Minerals focused on white marble potential during 1987-1990
- Eagle Ridge Minerals conducted Airborne Mag and VTEM in 2009, flown by Geotech Ltd. VTEM identified 15 anomalous electromagnetic responses, 4 labeled as high priority targets
- Canada Bay resources conducted channel sampling in 2011, resulting in grabs of 1.015% to 13.75% Cu. 4 holes totaling 415 m assayed up to >10,000ppm cu, 235 ppm As, and 4.39 ppm Ag
- Prospector work covered southern portion of the property in 2011, and 2016 sampled 61 grab samples. Resulting in sample:
- (406A) 764 g/t Ag, 4.0% Cu, 3.9% Pb, 1.92% Zn
- (3) 18.2 g/t Ag, 0.55% Cu, 1.07% Pb, 1.39 % Zn
- (Kearney 2016) 464 g/t Ag, 2.48% Cu, 2.48% Pb, 4.53% Zn
